Parish News

Pope Francis has asked us to pray for the upcoming Synod on Family Life being held at the Vatican on October 5-19. Beginning this Sunday and throughout the synod, please consider praying the following prayer:

Prayer to the Holy Family for the Synod

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate the splendor of true love, to you we turn with trust.

Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic Churches.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division: may all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may the approaching Synod of Bishops make us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God's plan.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer.

The nominations are in and the ballot is being prepared for the election on October 11/12. Thank you to all who nominated candidates and for those who accepted those nominations! For more information about the council, see our new Pastoral Council page.

September is St. Bart's month to hold a food collection for the MACC pantry. Use the list of needed items as a guide for your purchases. Please bring your donations to the church during office hours or at weekend Masses.

We always welcome new members and hope that you will find our parish family a place where your faith will be nourished. We ask that you register online or fill out a registration form as soon as possible. As a parish family, we are committed to share our goods, talents and faith with one another.

We, the parish family of St. Bartholomew, strive to live and give witness to our Catholic Christian faith in word, sacrament and service. We work for the reign of God in our lives and in our world: a reign of goodness, truth, justice and peace.
